Cookie policy
1. Who operates the site
Skills Dock Pty Ltd operates Pingaling at https://pingaling.fun.
Our ABN is 83 686 564 778. Our address is 34 Clayson Rd, Salisbury East SA 5109, Australia.
Email [email protected] for questions about cookies or tracking.
Read this policy with the Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies and similar tools do
A cookie is a small value that a website stores in your browser. It can help the site keep you signed in, remember a choice, or measure use.
Browser storage, pixels, and similar tools can also store information or send information about a visit. This policy covers those tools where we use them, not just files called cookies.
A first-party cookie is set for the site you visit. A third-party tool involves another provider. A first-party label does not, by itself, mean that permission is unnecessary.
Session storage usually ends with the relevant browser session. Other storage can remain until it expires or is removed. The real duration depends on the tool and its settings.
3. Storage needed for a requested service
Some storage is needed to provide a function you request. Examples can include account sign-in, session security, and remembering your cookie choice.
We do not use the word “necessary” for every tool that is useful to the business. A marketing or measurement purpose does not become necessary just because the cookie is first-party.
You can block cookies using your browser. Blocking storage needed for a requested function can prevent that function from working.
4. Optional analytics
Our launch choice is Google Analytics 4, also called GA4, for optional site analytics.
Where you opt in, GA4 can help us understand page use and interactions. The information can include browser or device details, page information, events, and identifiers used by the tool. Google processes information for the enabled analytics service.
Under our launch approach, optional GA4 tracking stays off unless you choose to allow it. Refusing optional analytics does not stop you from using core account features.
Consent for analytics is not consent to email marketing, cross-site advertising, or a different purpose.
5. Guest-viewer identifier
Pingaling uses a first-party cookie named pingaling_guest_viewer.
It holds a random guest identifier used to distinguish anonymous visitors for relevant app requests. It does not grant account access or prove a person's identity.
It expires at the next midnight in UTC. UTC is the time standard used for this calculation. The cookie therefore does not receive a new full 24-hour period on every page view.
This guest identifier is separate from GA4's optional analytics identifiers. The analytics choice described below does not, by itself, remove this first-party cookie. You can remove or block it through your browser. It is not a sign-in cookie.
6. Search reports, Hyfolio, and ad tools
Google Search Console, also called GSC, gives us reports about the site's appearance and performance in Google Search. Verifying site ownership with GSC does not, by itself, install a GA4-style visitor-tracking cookie.
Hyfolio is another tool operated by Skills Dock Pty Ltd. It may connect to Pingaling's analytics or search reports. A tool being supported by Hyfolio does not mean it runs on Pingaling.
Our launch setup does not use Facebook/Meta or TikTok advertising pixels. Adding one later requires a review of its data use, updated information, and any required permission before it starts.
We do not treat analytics permission as permission for advertiser scripts, audience-list uploads, or unrelated tracking on other sites.
7. Your choices
The cookie controls let you accept optional analytics, reject it, or change your choice later. Rejecting should be as easy as accepting.
Your choice applies to the browser or device where it is made unless the interface clearly explains a wider scope. If you clear storage or change devices, you may need to choose again.
Withdrawing permission stops future optional tracking covered by that choice. It does not undo every earlier record or guarantee that your browser removes all copies held by another provider. You can also ask about deletion rights at [email protected].
Browser controls can remove stored values or block future storage. A browser-wide setting is separate from a choice in Pingaling's controls. We must assess any legally required browser signals before claiming support for them.
8. Other sites and messages
Following a link to an advertiser or another website can take you outside Pingaling. That site may use its own storage and tracking. Our policy does not control another site's practices.
A hosted payment flow can have its own security and session tools. The payment provider's notice explains its own tools and purposes. Opening checkout can involve different storage from browsing a Pingaling page.
Email open pixels and click tracking, if enabled, are a separate tracking use. An email subscription is not blanket permission for every tracking method. Any such use needs the applicable notice and permission before it starts.
9. Cookie details and changes
For questions about a particular cookie or browser storage value, contact [email protected]. You can ask about its purpose, provider, lifetime, and the choices available to you.
We may update this policy when the service or its tools change. A published version will show an effective date. A new purpose that needs consent cannot start just because this page has been edited.
For questions or requests, email [email protected].
