Community guidelines
1. Our community standard
Pingaling is for people who want to share, test, promote, and discuss work in good faith. These Community Guidelines explain conduct that is not allowed on Pingaling. They apply to posts, profiles, comments, messages, reviews, testing activity, promotions, advertisements, Help content, and other use of the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Pingaling account.
These Guidelines are part of the Pingaling Terms of Use. They do not replace rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including rights to report concerns, make a complaint, or challenge an eligible decision.
2. Be lawful, honest, and respectful
Do not use Pingaling to break the law, help someone break the law, or cause harm.
Do not:
- impersonate a person, business, or organisation in a misleading way;
- run scams, fraud, phishing, deceptive offers, or other dishonest schemes;
- make false claims about a person, product, service, review, or promotion;
- threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate, or target another person;
- post hateful or abusive material that attacks people because of protected characteristics;
- encourage self-harm, violence, or criminal activity; or
- share content that you do not have the right to share.
Do not flood the service with repeated posts, promotions, or unsolicited messages. Do not use replies to promote an unrelated product instead of helping with the question.
Describe what you have built honestly, including what is unfinished. Do not invent working features, users, results, or screenshots. Describe AI-generated work accurately. Remove credentials and private data before sharing code or logs in a Help request.
Context matters. We may consider the content, audience, intent, history, and risk of harm when assessing a report or possible breach.
3. Protect people and private information
Do not exploit, groom, sexualise, or endanger children. Do not create, share, seek, or promote sexual content involving a child or content that sexually exploits a child. Report an immediate risk to local emergency services where appropriate.
Do not dox people. Do not reveal or threaten to reveal another person's private or confidential information without a lawful reason and permission. This includes home or work addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, identity documents, precise location, financial details, account credentials, private messages, or personal information that could expose someone to harm.
Do not collect, scrape, sell, share, or use another person's personal information in ways they have not agreed to or that the law does not allow. Do not try to identify a person from information that is private, restricted, or not meant for that purpose.
Do not share intimate images or sexual material of a person without their consent. Do not use Pingaling to coerce, blackmail, or threaten someone with disclosure of private information or images.
4. Keep accounts and systems safe
Use only your own account. Keep your login details secure. Do not buy, sell, share, or take over accounts. Do not create or use accounts to evade a block, suspension, ban, or another restriction. Do not organise false reports against another person.
Do not access an account, device, system, data set, API, or feature without authorisation. Do not interfere with the Service, bypass security controls, distribute malware, deploy harmful code, steal credentials, or attempt to disrupt another person's work.
Use automation, bots, scraping, or data collection only where we have clearly authorised it and where it does not breach these Guidelines, the Terms, privacy rights, or applicable law.
5. Test safely and only with authorisation
Testing can be useful, but it must be safe and authorised.
Only test software, services, websites, systems, or content when you have the authority to do so. Stay within the scope and instructions set by the owner or the relevant Pingaling feature. Do not test a system by attacking it, exploiting a weakness, accessing private data, or disrupting people or services.
Do not use Pingaling testing activity to distribute malware, exploit vulnerabilities, obtain credentials, evade access controls, perform denial-of-service activity, or cause security or privacy harm. If you find a genuine security issue, report it responsibly through an appropriate authorised channel rather than publishing sensitive details or exploiting it.
6. Keep reviews and feedback genuine
Reviews, testing feedback, and public comments must be honest and based on genuine experience. Do not create, buy, sell, request, or organise fake reviews, fake engagement, or misleading endorsements.
Do not offer, request, or accept money, credits, gifts, discounts, access, or any other benefit in exchange for a positive, predetermined, or misleading public review. A benefit must not depend on a reviewer giving positive feedback or require a public review that does not reflect the reviewer's real view.
If a Pingaling feature offers credits or another benefit for authorised testing or feedback, follow the feature rules. Give your genuine assessment. Disclose a material connection where the law or the relevant platform requires it.
Keep Traction claims, evidence, approvals, rejections, and credits fair. Do not submit fabricated evidence or coordinate related accounts to obtain credits, approve one another's work, or manipulate campaign results. Do not bypass task limits or promise a testing or promotion outcome that you cannot support.
7. Content, intellectual property, and rights
Share only content that you own, have permission to use, or have another valid legal right to use. Respect copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, and other rights.
Do not copy another person's work and present it as your own. Do not use another person's brand, image, content, or confidential material in a way that misleads people or breaches their rights.
If you believe content on Pingaling infringes your rights, send a report to [email protected]. Include the relevant link or account, a description of the material, the right you believe is affected, and information that helps us assess the report. We may ask for more information where reasonably needed.
8. Advertising and promotions
Paid ads and promotions must be lawful, accurate, and appropriate for the placement and audience. Do not use an ad or promotion to deceive people, make unsupported claims, hide a material commercial relationship where disclosure is required, or promote unlawful, unsafe, or rights-infringing activity.
Make sure you have the rights and permissions needed for the content, brand, offer, landing page, and claims in your ad. Comply with applicable advertising, consumer, privacy, and platform rules.
We may ask for information that reasonably supports an advertising claim. We may refuse, pause, remove, or restrict an ad or promotion where reasonably needed to apply these Guidelines, protect users, respond to a report, comply with law, or protect the Service. Our advertising rules do not guarantee a particular campaign outcome. Payment and refund questions are covered by the Payments and Refunds Policy and the booking terms shown at checkout.
9. Reporting a problem
Use an available in-product report tool for content, profiles, comments, messages, reviews, Help content, Traction activity, or promotions that may breach these Guidelines or the Terms.
You can also report safety concerns, copyright issues, legal notices, and other rights concerns to [email protected]. Please include enough detail for us to find and assess the issue, such as links, account names, dates, screenshots where appropriate, and an explanation of the concern.
A report does not guarantee a particular result. We will assess available information and may need to preserve relevant records, ask for more information, or take no action if the report does not show a breach or we cannot reasonably verify it.
10. How we may enforce these Guidelines
Depending on the situation, we may:
- remove, limit, label, or make content less visible;
- restrict a feature, promotion, campaign, or account;
- pause or remove an advertisement;
- warn you or ask you to change content or conduct;
- suspend or close an account; or
- refer a matter to an appropriate authority where required or reasonably necessary to address serious harm or unlawful conduct.
We will aim to take action that is appropriate to the circumstances. We may act without advance notice when delay could cause harm, compromise an investigation, create a legal risk, or make action ineffective. Where appropriate, we will provide a reason and information about any available review route.
We do not promise to detect or remove every breach. Reports can need different checks, so we do not promise one response time for every report. This does not limit a response or action deadline required by law. Decisions can depend on context, evidence, safety, legal duties, and the need to protect people and the Service.
11. Appeals
If an eligible safety enforcement decision is appealable, the notice or the Service will explain how to appeal. Unless applicable law gives you a different non-waivable deadline, submit your appeal within 30 days after the notice. We generally allow one appeal for the same enforcement decision.
You may submit an appeal through the available in-product process or by contacting [email protected]. Explain why you think the decision should change and include relevant information. We will review the appeal using the information available to us.
This appeal process does not limit a statutory complaint, appeal, regulator, court, or other remedy available to you under applicable law.
12. Changes to these Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines when needed for safety, legal, operational, or Service changes. For a material change, we will give notice through the Service, by email, or by another reasonable method where practicable and where required by law. We will state when the new version is intended to take effect.
We will not use a change to apply a new rule retrospectively to conduct that occurred before the stated effective date unless the law permits or requires it and we clearly explain why. Where active acceptance is required for a material change, we will ask for it rather than treating a general statement about continued use as a waiver of rights.
