“Is it clear what my app does?”
GPT-6 Astra can work inside a browser. That makes it interesting for testing the app you just built.
OpenAI released Astra on September 3. Its launch announcement describes stronger computer use, including building websites and checking their features in the browser. Those are OpenAI's claims, not results from a Pingaling test.
A practical experiment for your next side project:
Give the agent a staging URL and one speci…
OpenAI released GPT-Live-1 in the API on September 10.
It can listen and speak at the same time. OpenAI says it can also hand deeper reasoning and tool calls to a backend model.
The announced price is $0.05 per minute for the voice layer. That is not an all-in price for the backend work. This is an announcement summary, not a hands-on review.
A small prototype idea: a voice guide for a fictional app's help page.

Claude Fable 5.1 has a useful update for people building with AI: cheaper cache reads.
Anthropic announced it on September 1. Its listed cache-read price is $0.25 per million tokens, down 75% from Fable 5. That cut applies to cached input, not your entire bill.
Regular input and output prices remain $10 and $50 per million tokens. Anthropic estimates around 25% savings on typical token-billed workloads. Your result dep…
if someone's work made your day a little easier, tell them.
the tutorial that finally clicked. the tiny app you keep opening. the patient answer you still remember.
they might have no idea it mattered.
a specific thank you can mean a lot.
beginner app-building tip: plan what the screen shows when there is nothing to show yet.
a list of notes needs more than a design filled with perfect sample notes.
try writing these four states in plain language before styling the page.
The app is still fetching the notes. Say "Loading your notes..." so an empty area doesn't look like lost work.

I drew Moss #1! Meet my new companion.
you can change direction without calling the earlier work a waste.
you learned what was hard. what mattered. what you no longer want to build.
let that knowledge count.
you're allowed to choose a better next step.
uncle, lets make the first visit useful
im making Pingaling, and this is a small app feedback desk
reply with your app link and ONE question. for example: • can you tell who this is for from the first screen? • where would you click to try it? • what would stop you signing up?
i’ll review the first 3 landing pages here and share what i understood, where i got stuck, and one change id try
if youre reviewing someone else, tel…
Google's September 9 update includes Sheets canvas: turning a spreadsheet into an interactive mini-app with a prompt.
Google lists it for AI Pro and Ultra. This is a summary of its announcement, not a hands-on review.
A small experiment I'd try: a tracker for feedback on an app.
Start with made-up rows. Give each row an app name, feedback topic, status and next action. Keep the example small enough that you can check ev…
asking for help can feel like admitting you should already know the answer.
but the person helping you probably remembers being stuck too.
send the question. show the messy attempt.
you dont have to earn kindness by figuring everything out alone.
beginner coding tip: write down the input and expected output before writing the function.
"build a search feature" is a big instruction. a few examples make the next decision much smaller.
Imagine a tiny search box for a list of app names. Before choosing a library, decide what a match means.
Start with ordinary cases:
the first version doesnt have to prove that youre brilliant.
it needs to show one person what you mean.
make the idea small enough to try. let someone use it. listen to where they get confused.
you can build the next version with something better than a guess.
Google launched a Gemini app for Windows on September 10.
Alt + Space opens it over your current work. Google says the desktop app is available globally on Windows 10 and 11.
Some features, including Gemini Spark and Gemini Omni, require a Google AI subscription. Availability varies and those features are for adults 18+.
The part that interests me as a builder: less switching between a task and the place where you ask f…
you can care about your project and still need a break from it.
close the laptop. call someone you miss.
you are allowed to have a day that isnt about becoming better at something.
beginner debugging tip: change one thing at a time.
when a button breaks, changing five files can make the error disappear. but it leaves you guessing which change mattered.
try this small loop instead.
write down what you expected and what actually happened. “the app is broken” gives you very little to investigate. “clicking save closes the form, but the new note disappears after refresh” gives yo…
you dont need to understand the whole project today.
understand one function. fix one small thing. write down what you learned.
a quiet day of learning still counts. even when there is nothing impressive to screenshot.
BTW, your joining made me realise that the app is missing "mentioning" feature which i implemented. so thanks again
@drstone_x welcome man! Im so glad that you are here. you are the first user and I will always remember you!
Welcome everyone!
